Technical/Product - Market Data Intern
The Market Data Intern will support the expense management initiative by
creating a persistent repository of the company’s Market Data expenses. This
repository currently exists in Excel format and is primarily focused on North
American Market Data expenses. The Intern will partner with the rest of the
Market Data team to determine the appropriate database, as well as expand
coverage to Asia and Europe. In addition, this candidate will create the
workflow to deliver timely expense report summaries to Market Data’s Business
and Technology stakeholders.
On a separate project, the Market Data
Intern will also conduct analyses to identify and populate appropriate
application/user IDs on the newly deployed Market Data Entitlements
system.
We are seeking an outstanding candidate to work in an agile,
highly professional Market Data Team. The candidate will be an integral member
in driving the transparency of Market Data expenses within the firm as well as
the success of the Market Data Entitlements projects (which is sponsored by the
Liquidnet Head of Operations).
This person will report to the head of
Global Market Data and will be responsible for data quality with technical
aptitude in databases/spreadsheets. This role will also interface with other
Technology and Business teams to validate the expense management workflow and
ensure that all real-time consumers are profiled in the new Market Data
Entitlements system.

Qualifications/Skills
- Currently pursuing a BS/MS in Computer Science, Engineering or related field.
- Strong proficiency with Microsoft Excel is a requirement
- Experience with databases (Oracle) is preferred
- Some knowledge of the Financial Services industry
- Exceptionally detail-oriented, methodical and thorough
- Ability to communicate effectively and work autonomously
